SCHOONER VIRGINIA IS COMING TO BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA

Schooner Virginia is a 122 ft. wooden schooner that is a modern replica of an early 20th century pilot vessel that had the same name. Schooner Virginia is owned and operated by the City of Norfolk along with the nonprofit Nauticus Foundation and she was was launched in 2005. Schooner Virginia conducts educational youth programs along with offering public sailing that allows people to experience sailing aboard a historical Tall Ship.

Step back in time aboard schooner Virginia and experience what it was like to sail aboard aboard a 20th century Pilot Tall Ship.   Educational and fun for the whole family.  You are welcome to interact with the Captain and crew as they take you back in time and explain the great history of Schooner Virginia.   You are welcome to help the crew hoist the sails as a crew member or just sit back and enjoy your 2 hour sail aboard Schooner Virginia.


Schooner Virginia has proven to be a world class Schooner Tall Ship when she took " Top Prize " over 20  other schooner's this year in the 2019 Chesapeake Schooner Race where she set a " New Fastest Race Record Time ".


You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks ( Alcohol is allowed during the sail ).  Sit back and have a family picnic or enjoy that way overdue friend's social outing while you sail the waters in Brunswick, Georgia.

WE ARE A 501 (3) (C) AND A GEORGIA REGISTERED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. ST MARYS TALL SHIP ALLIANCE HAS SHOWN THAT OUR EFFORTS HAS ESTABLISHED A POINT OF INTEREST FOR THE GEORGIA COAST FROM ALL POINTS OF INTEREST FROM ALL POINTS NORTH AND SOUTH OF OUR BORDERS. ST MARYS TALL SHIP ALLIANCE ANTICIPATES THAT IN TIME GEORGIA WILL BECOME HOME PORT FOR TALL SHIPS AND RESTORING OUR COAST TO IT HISTORIC PLACE IN TIME>
